Say goodbye to the summer by attending one of Chicago’s festivals this Labor Day Weekend. Escape from your apartment and our community to attend one of these incredible festivals located just moments from your home:
Put on your dancing shoes and prepare to cut loose at our Summer Dance series. There are free dance lessons and live bands. Grant Park offers 4,900 square feet of dance floor so you can swing, tango, jump, jive, or line dance.
Come see a variety of artists—both visual arts and music. Musicians will be performing hip-hop, indie rock, and more (names like Zedd, Bassnectar, Odesza). Bring your chairs and cooler and spend the day at Union Park enjoying the music.
Celebrate with hot jazz at the lakefront! Our 38th Annual Chicago Jazz Festival will feature local, national, and international artists and strives to promote jazz for people of all ages. Enjoy popular acts such as Orbert Davis’ Migration, Charlie Haden’s Liberation Music Orchestra, The Bad Plus, and Oliver Lake.
Be sure to stop by the Navy Pier. Enjoy a seafood meal with live music and entertainment, but don’t forget about the other restaurants, shops, and family attractions at this popular destination in the Midwest.
The African Festival of the Arts brings the African culture to Chicago and has for 26 years. Washington Park hosts over 300 vendors and artists with traditional crafts, art, and textiles. The festival features four sections: Kush (wearable arts), Songhay (African arts and crafts, natural products, and collectibles, Timbuktu (African fabric and fashions), and Nubia (fine arts). At the Bank of the Nile, you’ll find a food court that will make your mouth water!
When you live at Chestnut Tower in Chicago, IL you are only moments away from the area’s best entertainment, dining, and shopping venues. Stay in touch with the city by attending our annual festivals and other traditions throughout the year.
